Support Staff have undoubtedly become an essential cog in our educational system. These members of staff provide a vast array of essential support tasks across the broad spectrum of Education, helping out at various levels.

Education World currently recruits the following Support Staff;
Nursery Nurses
Work as a Nursery Nurse often involves supporting and assisting qualified teachers in nursery, infant or primary classes. Nursery Nurses can be expected to be placed into schools, day nurseries etc.
Teaching Assistants
Work as a Teaching Assistant involves assisting Teachers on a day to day basis. Common examples of teaching assistant tasks include; preparing materials, putting up displays and assisting pupils under the supervision from the Teacher.
Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA’s)
As a HLTA you will typically need 2+ years experience of working as a Teaching Assistant. As a HLTA, you can be expected to take a small group of advanced pupils and assist them with their work. They can also be required to cover teachers preparation, planning and assessment (PPA).
Learning Support Assistants
Work as a learning support assistant will often be classroom based but you may also be required to carry out some administrative duties at certain times of the year. When classroom based you can be expected to work with children on either an individual or group basis.
Learning Mentors
Work as a learning mentor will typically include supporting children who are under achieving at school. A learning mentor can also be required to work with children who come from disadvantaged backgrounds, have learning difficulties or have behavioral problems.
Cover Supervisors
A Cover Supervisor is typically used in the absence of a teacher, for example when the Teacher has an absence from school due to illness etc. While working as a Cover Supervisor you will often be required to look after a whole classroom of children.
