Hello I am Andew and an Education World veteran, I have worked for the company since November 2014 and it’s been quite a journey. I started in a very small office of 4 employees, so its very exciting to see where the company is today with multiple UK offices and close to 30 employees. I as a recruitment consultant where I ran a very successful desk looking after predominately primary schools for a number of years. I took on management responsibilities in 2019 where I continued to run a desk and manage a team of consultants in the North East. My desk continued to grow and so did the team achieving great results year on year. In 2022 I took the difficult decision to give up my desk and focus solely on managing, I now manage teams Education World sales teams across our Gateshead, Durham and Sheffield office as well as our EWRS team. I look forward to the continued success and growth of these teams into the next few years.
I Joined Education World in 2020 as a senior compliance and resourcing officer responsible for overseeing all compliance and safeguarding procedures for our Sheffield branch. I have over ten years of experience in compliance and a sound knowledge of the requirements of responsible recruitment within the education sector as laid out by the REC and DfE, including the Duty to refer (Disclosure and Barring Service), safeguarding awareness/NSPCC child protection, and GDPR awareness.
I have worked within the recruitment sector for the past 6 years starting as a resourcer before moving on to become a recruitment consultant. I joined Education World in March 2020 as a primary consultant and after studying Education Studies at York St John University, felt like I was finally putting my degree to good use. As of Sept 2022, I am the specialist education recruitment consultant for our special educational needs schools and provisions in South Yorkshire. I pride myself on being approachable, friendly and reliable with both candidates and clients.
